Gambling Casino
Do you think it is a good idea to build a casino near the nuclear power plant?
This proposal is in Limerick, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Residents are worried about the safety of the power plant, and Lax, which was published a few weeks ago, Time Magazine. What do you think? What are the pros and cons of building a casino near the power plant? I would add: the people are opposed to the casino, but local politicians are pushing it through. They are looking for as many reasons as possible to stop casino built there. All comments, both on behalf of or against, are welcome.
Both the casino and the power plant has its pros and cons, but I honestly understand why the existence of one can interfere with other costructing. Think of it this way, if somehing goes wrong w / vegetable, it would be any better if they had hostpital, school, office, or close to it in the box? Players are worth more than regular ppl? Probably what you should be looking for is not to build the area around the circle. Or better yet, better security altogether. Edit additional comment: If I were a local resident, I would welcome a casino in this particular case. If a nuclear power station in my area, it is likely that the actual state values are low, so it more difficult to move to other premises. As the drive to the local economy, the power station is of little value, since it is not labor intensive. Now, even though the construction of a casino has its problems (Prostitution, increased violence), it will also create jobs (it is a very labor-intensive) and the likely increase in property values. It certainly destroy local shared use (to replace it with another) and the net benefit of the original ppl living there, it is difficult to assess. In this case, however, I think it is very useful (and I certainly do not know the comunity, so I'm just guessing what it is). Since it is close to the plant is probably recession, and a more prosperous and better educated people to leave it and replace the poor. Violence is likely to increase local business would be closing. Casino may compensate for this bill. It attractive for businesses, better educated ppl, add jobs. Even a home owner who did not want to live near such a situation, a higher value of their assets may be able to switch to a better place (excluding nuclear).
